Don't get caught, get your flu shot

State employees and spouses can receive a flu shot at no cost.

Getting a flu shot at a State worksite or a designated Walgreens: 

  1. Go to the Walgreens Online Scheduler website to schedule a flu shot at a State worksite or a designated Walgreens. Times and locations for State worksites and designated Walgreens are available on the scheduler. 
  2. Download and complete the Walgreens Vaccine Administration Record
  3. What to take when going to a State worksite or designated Walgreens:
  • Photo ID
  • Proof of insurance, such as your OptumRx card or your medical card
  • Walgreens Vaccine Administration Record

Getting a flu shot at a health care provider, or an in-network pharmacy or clinic:

Employees and spouses enrolled in the State's medical plan may go to their provider or any pharmacy that accepts the State's insurance and receive a flu shot at no cost. 

What to take when going to a health care provider, or an in-network pharmacy or clinic:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of insurance, such as your OptumRx card or your medical card

Earn a $25 reward for getting your flu shot

State employees and their spouses who receive a flu shot may be eligible to receive a $25 reward. After receiving a flu shot:

  1. Visit the Virgin Pulse Hub
  2. Click the Rewards tab (reward icon) and scroll to the Preventive Care section
  3. Click the Preventative Screenings & Immunizations link and then the Take Me There button
  4. Complete the online attestation form.

Members may complete multiple attestation forms for different actions; however, only one attestation form per category (preventive care, wellness events, community events, and financial well-being) per month may be eligible for a reward. 

Incentive dollars earned by the State employee and his or her spouse will be reflected on the State employee's paycheck after the completed activity has been processed. Monetary incentives are taxable and taxes are based on the amount of the incentive.
